The Broncos capitalized. They racked up 426 yards of offense as quarterback Bo Nix completed 19-of-29 passes for 247 yards, four touchdowns and a pick. Running back J.K. Dobbins rushed for 111 of the team's 179 rushing yards on the day, and the offensive line prevented Nix from getting sacked in the 44-24 win.

One of the stories Payton is referring possibly made its way into Playmakers. In 2019, the Cowboys were poised to trade for Payton. The comment that sparked the back and forth came when Payton was talking about the Giants and how they had “found a little spark” with Jaxson Dart under center.

“I do know today me and my boys went over another 100-yard game,” he said, adding this was a dream of his. “I love Coach Sean Payton, he’s a great person. The offensive line is amazing, the defense is amazing, then the ownership is amazing.” In fact, Dobbins believes he was born to be a Bronco.
