Zohran Mamdani could become New York City's first Muslim mayor if he can fend off an upset bid by former Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
The poll, which surveyed just over 2,400 voters, comes a day after the same polling outfit had Cuomo trailing Mamdani by six points.
As of 6 p.m., about 1.85 million people, including early and mail-in voters, had cast ballots in the hotly contested race among Zohran Mamdani, Andrew M. Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa. Polls close at 9 p.m.
Both Mamdani and Republican candidate Sliwa appear twice on the ballots due to the fusion voting system followed by the city.
